Successful Business Alumni Inducted into Gupta College Hall of Fame

Seven new alumni business leaders have been announced as inductees to the Hall of Fame at the University of Dallas – Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business.

The hall of fame, established just last year, was intended to celebrate successful business leaders who truly embody the spirit of Gupta College, honoring former Dallas Cowboys fullback Robert F. Newhouse Jr. as the first inductee. This year’s new members included Craig Farrill, Satish Gupta, Yasmin Gupta, Gordon “Don” Hutchins, Heather Kreager, Dick Long and Terry O’Halloran. The ceremony took place on January 14th in SB Hall, the new home of Gupta College.

The seven inductees come from a wide variety of industry and experience, though all are MBA recipients from Gupta College. Most notable among them may be business leaders Satish and Yasmin Gupta, for whom the school was recently renamed. Today, Satish Gupta, MBA ‘81, continues to serve Dallas through his partnerships with several charitable organizations, in addition to the founding of SB International Inc, a steel distribution company. Yasmin Gupta, MBA ‘82, now serves as SB International’s director and executive vice president.

Craig Farrill, MBA ‘79, worked for four decades in the telecommunications systems engineering industry before founding Kodiak Networks in 2001. Gordon “Don” Hutchins, MBA ‘75, is a long-time advocate of competition in the telecommunications and technology industry, currently serving as president and COO of Fusion. Heather Kreager, MBA ‘03, now serves as CEO for Sammons Enterprises after thirty years with the company in various roles. Richard Long, MBA ‘85, has worked for 18 years in the investment industry, and in 1999 founded Valley View Consulting LLC. Terry O’Halloran, MBA ‘83, has worked for over 30 years with Air Distribution Technologies, shaping the company over time into a $1 billion operation.
