An MBA student from the London Business School (LBS) was recently awarded the prestigious AQR Scholar Award, which recognizes asset management leaders of the future.
The inaugural award was given to Andrea Turrini, who will earn his MBA this year. He was noted for his outstanding academic performance and leadership skills.
Narayan Naik is Professor of Finance and Academic Director of the AQR Academic Institute at LBS. He said, “We are delighted to present Andrea with the first AQR Scholar Award. In addition to an excellent academic record, Andrea has demonstrated great leadership through Co-Presidency of the Finance Club and having built important links between London Business School and the Italian business community. We believe he has the potential to make a great impact on the finance industry.”
The £10,000 award was presented to Turrini by Lasse Pedersen, a Principal of AQR Capital Management, and by Professor Naik.
Turrini said, “I am very grateful to AQR for this award, especially given the high caliber of people who study at London Business School every year. It’s an honor to be recognized for the skills I have developed through the MBA, and for making an impact on the community. I thank the school too for everything I have learned on this wonderful journey.”
This summer, LBS will bestow two more awards to identify future asset management talent from the Masters in Finance and Executive MBA programs.
