Terry College 2 + 2 MBA Allows Pre-Work Experience Application
A new program at the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business will allow current undergraduate students to apply to the Full-Time MBA Program before going to work.
The new ‘2+2 Program’ will give undergraduate students the opportunity to apply and secure their spot in the MBA program at Terry before gaining two years of work experience. The program is currently accepting applications and is open to all students in their final year of study at accredited institutions. Students who apply now would be a part of the 2018 Full-Time MBA class.
Applicants for the program must be currently on track to graduate from a bachelor’s, master’s or combined degree program in May or December, and must submit a written employment offer as part of the application process.
Full-Time MBA Program Director and professor of economics at Terry College, Santanu Chatterjee, commented on the massive benefits this program offers to students.
“By allowing students to apply now and defer enrollment for two years, the 2+2 Program gives motivated undergraduates a way to better plan and prepare for their future,” he said. “What’s more, students who take advantage of the new program will receive invitations to all of our career and networking events during their deferral years to connect with our more than 60,000 alumni.”
The Full-Time MBA Program at Terry College has been the recipient of such honors as being ranked 19th in Forbes’ return on investment rankings of public institutions, and named a ‘Best for Vets’ program by Military Times.
Benjamin C. Ayers, dean of Terry College, commented: “For those students with aspirations of pursuing an advanced degree, the 2+2 Program provides a certain path to join one of the nation’s top business schools while earning valuable work experience and benefitting from the Terry network.”
