Lerner College MBA Alum to Host Cross-Cultural Effectiveness Workshop

Delaware Campus

The University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business & Economics will host an upcoming workshop in cross-cultural effectiveness for graduate students.

The workshop is open to all graduate students, and it will take place at the Lerner Grad Hub in Newark on April 8, 2016.

Neha Jain, who received her MBA from Lerner College in 2011, will lead the program. Jain is North America readiness leader for DuPont, where she drives alignment strategies between DuPont’s leadership team and technology vendors. She has held previous positions as a Management Consultant for SPI Pharma and as an analyst with GMAC Residential Capital.

She holds a Six Sigma Black Belt, and she has guided various businesses in planning, supply chain process design, and systems implementation. Jain is a member of the non-profit Pardada Pardadi Educational Society, where she volunteers to promote the education of women in her native India. In addition to opening doors to educational opportunities for women, the organization also engages in community development efforts, economic empowerment training, and the provision of healthcare services.

Students who attend the workshop will receive training in various aspects of the changing global business environment, such as managing cultural transitions; understanding the differences between inclusion and diversity; and creating a global brand statement.

The workshop will combine presentations from a panel of experts in cross-cultural effectiveness with hands-on exercises.
