The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School Customer Analytics Initiative (WCAI) will hold its annual conference, Successful Applications of Customer Analytics on April 29, 2016 in Philadelphia.
The event will feature leaders from retail, tech, and philanthropy who will share their expertise on a variety of customer analytics efforts that they have employed and implemented.
Among the speakers will be experts from American Apparel, Microsoft, Google, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. 2015 keynote speaker Justin Cutroni, Analytics Evangelist from Google said, “The detailed presentations, quality of speakers, and free-sharing of ideas makes this an extremely actionable event. I walked away with a long list of contacts and topics to learn about.” This year’s keynotes are Ian di Tullio from Qatar Airways and Sandra Nudelman of JP Morgan Chase.
Networking events and Q&A sessions will round out the conference’s schedule.
Dave Hastings, who spoke at the WCAI 2015, is the director of product analytics, data science and engineering for Netflix. Last year, he addressed the topic of how the streaming media giant utilizes customer analytics to determine its programming. He said, “We have had a whole catalogue of things we did not make [based upon customer analytics]. We wanted early on to be careful, and it has worked out.”
