Earn an MBA in London without the GRE or GMAT

If you are applying to an MBA program years after completing your undergraduate degree, the thought of taking an entrance exam can be understandably overwhelming. Even if you have a history of acing tests, the process of taking the GRE or GMAT for admission to an MBA program can be expensive, stressful and time consuming. So is it possible to be enrolled in London MBA without GMAT or GRE?

Luckily, not every London MBA requires the GRE or GMAT for admission. If you feel confident in your application, there may be no need to spend time and energy preparing for an exam. Rather, you can put that time towards boosting your career.

We’ve created a list of London business schools that do not require GRE or GMAT (or offer GMAT waivers).

Imperial College Business School at Imperial College London

Imperial offers a one-year full-time MBA. In addition to this popular option, the school also currently provides part-time MBA programs including a Weekend MBAGlobal Online and an Executive option.

When applying to the full-time MBA at Imperial, you can request a GMAT waiver. Each cycle school offers a small number of waivers to candidates. To be considered for a waiver, you need to demonstrate exceptional academic performance and evidence of strong quantitative skills.

When assessing your application, they will look closely at your career progression in terms of roles and responsibilities, experience of managing projects and people, and how you have continued to develop your skills throughout your career to date.

In terms of entry requirements, you will need one of the following:

Henley Business School at the University of Reading

Similar to many of its peer programs, University of Reading offers full-time, Executive, and Flexible Executive MBA programs. According to their MBA entry conditions, GMAT or GRE may or may not be required.

Moreover, they offer flexible entry requirements for mature applicants and those without formal qualification. You will need to demonstrate your enthusiasm and commitment to study and have the relevant life/work experience that equips you to succeed on the course.

Middlesex University

Middlesex offers different MBA programs options: MBA, Flexible MBA, Global Online MBA. First program emphasizes personal and professional development with a compulsory module designed to run throughout the year to help you achieve your career aspirations. If you go with a Flexible MBA, you will have an option to study an elective in place of one of your core online modules. The highlights of the Global Online MBA include distance learning and free electronic textbooks.

Entry requirements are the following:

  • A second class honours degree as well as two or more years of relevant business experience
  • Graduate-level professional qualifications

However, if you are not meeting any of these requirements, and you are not planning to take a GMAT, in exceptional cases, you may be considered for admission where there is strong supporting education or experience. All such cases will be at the discretion of the MBA Programme Leader.

Moreover, entry does not require an interview, portfolio or audition.
