mba program for woman

If you’re a woman looking to get your MBA, then you should head to the University of San Diego School of Business Administration. According to the U.S. News & World Report, USD enrolled 45% women into its program in 2015, making it one of the top 25 schools in the nation for women MBAs. In total, USD has 80 full-time women MBAs enrolled in their program.

USD beats out the national average by almost 10%. The average number of women MBAs is closer to 36% according to the Forte Foundation. The truth is that top-ranked schools often have a stronger enrollment of women. For those schools, the average number of women hovers around 40%.

Other top MBA programs in the nation for women include:

As for USD, this isn’t the first time the School has been rated for its friendliness toward women MBAs. In 2015, the Princeton Review ranked USD as #2 in the U.S. for “Greatest Opportunities for Women.”

Part of the reason for USD’s ranking with women is the school’s focus on women MBAs. One of the school’s top student clubs is the National Association of Women MBAs. NAWMBA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering female business professionals. The club also assists women into leadership positions in business and seeks to enhance diversity in the workforce.

USD also regularly hosts conferences and events dedicated to women in business. One example is the Women in Real Estate Conference, which attracts more than 200 real estate and financial services professionals. The conference highlights successful women in the real estate industry and includes a featured speaker and topic panel.

Women MBAs can have a harder time finding camaraderie and a network that shares their perspective. That’s why a program, such as USD, that seeks to promote women MBAs is so important.
