LFGSM Introduces New Members of Business Leader Faculty

The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management prides itself in being the Chicago Metro’s only MBA program taught by 100% Business Leader Faculty, meaning that all adjunct professors come from leadership backgrounds in the business world.

What’s this mean for students?

They get real world, relevant business expertise taught be actual movers and shakers in the area’s industries, such as marketing, finance, global business, leadership, and healthcare. According to LFGSM, no other MBA program in the United States will give their students access to such an elite group of businessmen and women.

LFGSM recently made seven new hires, adding to the already impressive roster of Business Leaders on faculty. According to LFGSM, these seven new leaders hold 18 degrees total, and eight professional certifications.

Here are a few of the new faces:

  • Kenneth Atwater: Atwater is the Program Manager of GE Healthcare IT Imaging & Information Systems and received his MBA from Roosevelt University. He brings to LFGSM over 20 years of experience in project management and 17+ years of teaching project management.
  • Theresa Austerberry: Austerberry is a MAC Consultant with McKinsey & Company instructing early-tenured consultants in strategic planning process and received her MBA from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. With more than 15 years of experience in consulting and professional development, she brings her leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational approach to LFGSM.
  • Miguel Edwards: Edwards is the Vice President of Strategy and Operations for the AIA Group at Allstate and earned his MBA from Rider University. He has more than 16 years of experience in technology, financial and general leadership roles across the manufacturing, financial services, and insurance industries. Edwards teaches Strategic Thinking for LFGSM’s Corporate Learning Solutions.
  • Scott Kremers: Kremers is the Strategic Implementations Manager at the Intercontinental Exchange and earned his MBA from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
  • Dr. Derrick Walters: Walters is President and CEO of Walters Consulting LLC and earned his MBA from DeVry University’s Keller School of Management, and an Ed.D. in Adult and Higher Education from Northern Illinois University.
