Penn State Consolidates MBA Offerings in New Office of Professional Grad Programs
The Penn State Smeal College of Business announced the formation of its new Office of Professional Graduate Programs (OPGP), which will support each of the college’s MBA offerings.
Included under the office will be the recently launched Online MBA, the Executive MBA, and the residential MBA program. The OPGP will enable the school to continue to expand its curriculum in order to meet the growing demands of potential and current students. The Masters of Professional Studies in Management and Organizational Leadership, along with other similar new programs will be administered through the office, which will be lead by Associate Dean Brian Cameron.
Cameron said, “Our office [and its branding] reflect Smeal’s efforts to meet market changes and demands for these types of programs… the launch of the MMOL and the Smeal-led Penn State Online MBA are just two examples. In the next several years we will be unveiling several other initiatives, including partnerships with other academic units across Penn State.”
Among other areas of focus that Dean Cameron and the OPGP plan to develop are corporate innovation and entrepreneurship, marketing and business analytics, and corporate accounting, each of which will offer certificate programs.
Among the other faculty that will lead the office are Glen Kreiner, Smeal College Associate Professor of Management; Janet Duck, Assistant Professor of Management at PSU Harrisburg; and Lou Gattis, Clinical Professor of Finance of the Executive MBA program. Former Director of Admissions for the residential MBA program, Stacey Dorang Peeler, will become the online MBA’s managing director.
