Rotman School of Management MBAs can expect an exciting September with ten upcoming speaker series events for the month. Each event features a bestselling author, top management executive, or influential thought leader.
- Thursday, September 8: 8:00 am – 9:00 am—The event features Michael Bungay Stanier, Partner and Co-Founder of Box of Crayons. He’ll speak on “The Coaching Habit.”
- Monday, September 12: 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm—The event will feature Zeynep Ton, an Associate Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He’ll speak on “The Good Jobs Strategy.”
- Tuesday, September 13: 8:00 am – 9:00 am—The event will feature Julia Shaw, a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at London South Bank University. She’ll speak on “The Memory Illusion.”
- Tuesday, September 13 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm—The event will feature Yuval Noah Harari, a Lecturer in World History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He’ll speak on “Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow.”
- Wednesday, September 14: 8:00 am – 9:30 am—The Event will feature Canadian business leaders Peter T. Grauer and Victor G. Dodig. They’ll share personal experiences, key learning, roadblocks, and advice on gender diversity in organizations.
- Wednesday, September 21: 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm—The event will feature Andi Zeisler, Co-Founder and Creative/Editorial Director of Bitch Media Nonprofit Feminist Media Organization. She’s also the author of We Were Feminists Once. She’ll speak on “From Riot Grrl to Marketplace Feminism.”
- Thursday, September 22: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm—The event will feature Dan Levitin, a Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience at McGill University. He’ll speak on “A Field Guide to Lies.”
- Tuesday, September 27: 1:00 pm – 2:00pm—The event will feature Brian Wong, Co-Founder and CEO of Kiip Mobile Ad Network. He’ll speak on “The Cheat Code.”
- Tuesday, September 27: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm—The event will feature Beth Noveck, a Professor of Global Networks at New York University. She’ll speak on “Smart Citizens, Smart State.”
- Wednesday, September 28: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm—the event will feature the Capital Markets Institute for a panel discussion. The topic will be “Blockchain: The Future of Banking and Securities Trading.”
