Henley Business Launches 2 New Hedge Fund Programs in Asia
Due to the popularity of its world-class Hedge Fund Programme in Hong Kong, Inflection Point Intelligence along with Henley Business School at the University of Reading launched two new hedge funds in Singapore and Tokyo.
Singapore Hedge Fund
Swiss-Asia Financial Services sponsors the program in Singapore. The focus of the program is to grow Asia’s hedge fund community by providing financial services professionals with hands-on advice over a six-month period. The program offers a blend of investor relations, compliance, fund pitching, and modules and workshops. An impressive list of respected industry figures, such as Roshan Padmadan, and Karim Mrani Alaoui, will be a part of the experience and provide practical knowledge.
“Swiss-Asia is committed to helping start-up fund managers succeed, and this can only be done by educating the wider community,” Mr. Steve Knabl, Chief Operating Officer and Management Partner of Swiss-Asia said in a blog. “We are glad to sponsor the Hedge Fund Programme in Singapore, and look forward to growing talent pools together with Henley Business School and Inflection Point Intelligence.”
The program will commence on October 15, 2016, and will run for six months. Just 25 financial professionals will have an opportunity to participate and learn how to grow a hedge fund in Asia.
Tokyo Hedge Fund
The program in Tokyo is designed specifically for professionals within financial services. It provides a holistic, hands-on understanding of hedge funds over a six-month series of workshops, online classes, networking events, and group work. Thomson Reuters and Heiwa Real Estate will sponsor the program, which is a blend of modules and workshops such as Portfolio Management, Business Setup, Fund Administration, Legal Tax, and more.
“We found that many in the hedge fund community only knew their own area of expertise. Often, a lawyer might not appreciate fund administration and in turn, these administrators might not know about capital introduction,” Anna Stephenson, Program advisor and Partner of Inflection Point Intelligence Ltd said in a blog. “Universities typically emphasize portfolio and risk management and are ill-equipped to explain how the various components interact to make hedge funds successful. With that in mind, we designed a well-rounded, holistic programme for participants to broaden their practical knowledge and approach the business from different perspectives.”
The program will begin on November 19, 2016, and will run until April 23, 2017, and is limited to just 25 qualified participants.
