13 SPU Alumni to Watch

In celebration of Seattle Pacific University’s 125th anniversary, the school created a list of 125 alumni to watch. The list consists of notable GOLD alumni—alumni that have graduated within the last decade. Each of the individuals on the list was chosen for their remarkable leadership skills and the success they’ve achieved in their individual professions.

A few of the most impressive on the list include:

• Chris Balt is a senior technical product manager at Microsoft, where he has worked for the last five years.
• Kelley Brown is the program manager for International Health at World Vision.
• Megan Chao is the U.S. executive director and co-founder of Hope For Life Ministry. The ministry empowers youth to escape homelessness.
• Chandler Downs is the regional multimedia advertising executive for The Seattle Times—the largest-circulation daily newspaper in Washington.
• Greg Ehrlich is a self-employed private chef who used his degree in Business Administration to start serving his food at parties, on tours, and more.
• Kim Gorsline is the owner and principal designer at Kimberlee Marie Interior Design. Her company provides color consultations, furniture plans, and renovations.
• Betsy Hartman is the CEO and founder of PNW Music Therapy—a company that provides individual and group music therapy sessions.
• Tara Kats is the senior customer reporting analyst at Starbucks Coffee Company where she has worked for the past year.
• Allen Klein is a strategic account executive at Microsoft. He gained the position after earning his BA from the Business School.
• Shaina Mackin is a program assistant at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation—the largest private foundation in the world.
• Ben Olsen is a senior program manager at Microsoft as well as the founder and CEO of Analytics Guild.
• Casey O’Neil is a senior consultant for the U.S. Department of State where he has worked for the past four years.
• Bryan Papé is the CEO of MiiR, which is a company that provides clean water to those in need, one product at a time.
