Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University
The Albers School offers a Full-Time MBA program as well as a Professional MBA and Leadership Executive MBA. Outside of their programs, the school also offer a myriad of student clubs and associations ideal for MBA students.
- Women in Business: The Women in Business organization is aimed at helping women MBAs expand their career, leadership and networking opportunities. It brings together female business leaders to host events, discuss relevant topics and set up a unique and welcoming networking space.
- Graduate Student Council: The Graduate Student Council is a club focused on improving the graduate and MBA student experience at Albers. Members have the opportunity to communicate the needs of MBA students and to share ideas to improve the student body.
- Albers Investment Club: Run by an MBA student, the Albers Investment Club offers members a “real world” opportunity to learn about investing. Club members manage a portfolio of real dollars while learning about various investment strategies and more.
Foster School of Business at the University of Washington
The Foster School ranks as one of the top MBA programs in the nation. It was recently ranked #3 in the West and #27 in the United States in terms of job place rates. Students at Foster can choose between 23 MBA-specific clubs covering every topic from Women In Business to the sports industry and technology. Our favorites include:
- Out in Business: The Out in Business club is for all Foster MBA students who want to be leaders in LGBTQ inclusion. The club is focused on providing a welcoming community and demonstrating the importance of equality in business. The main event is the yearly Reaching Out MBA Conference, which offers workshops and brings in industry speakers from all sector of the business community.
- The Foster Consulting Society (FCS): With 150 active members, the FCS is the largest MBA club on campus. Its goal is to help students enhance their consulting education, prepare for a job in consulting and network with consulting firms and industry leaders. MBA students who attend this club will be a part of an engaged and talented group of students.
- The Operations Club: There’s nothing better than hands-on learning, and that’s exactly what the Operations Club offers MBA students. Members have the opportunity to visit local companies such as Boeing, Amazon and Nintendo to learn more about such topics as supply chain management, logistics, operations, transportation and more.
- Blue Dot: The Blue Dot is the perfect club for MBAs who are new to Seattle. It welcomes both MBA students and their families to the community for support and companionship. Events include book clubs, game nights, potlucks and budgeting talks.
Seattle Pacific University’s School of Business, Government and Economics
The School of Business at Seattle Pacific University is known for its Christian values, small class sizes and AACSB accreditation. While attending the University for a part-time MBA, students can participate in a variety of clubs.
- Mentor Program: While not specifically considered a club, the Mentor Program at SPU offers MBA students a unique opportunity to connect with a professional mentor for career success. Students enjoy one-on-one guidance as well as small-group situations.
- Mosaic: Mosaic is a club focused on welcoming students from a wide array of backgrounds and interests. Its goal is to establish cross-cultural bridges and to create an atmosphere where culture and diversity are celebrated.
