On September 20th, the George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) announced that Baroness Joanna Shields, OBE, MBA ’87, has been named one of AACSB International’s “Influential Leaders” for 2016. Shields is a distinguished GWSB alumna and recently delivered the keynote address at GWSB’s 2016 Master’s and Doctoral Commencement Celebration.

Shields has been a leading tech executive and entrepreneur, with more than 25 years of experience in key positions at companies like AOL, Facebook and Google. “This is a very prestigious honor for both Baroness Shields and the George Washington School of Business,” GWSB Dean Linda Livingstone said in a statement. “Her impressive record of achievement in business and government is a tremendous source of pride for the entire GWSB community.”
