MBA Programs at UTA Achieve Top Global Ranking by CEO Magazine
The MBA and EMBA programs at the University of Texas at Arlington – College of Business were recently both ranked as top programs in the world by CEO Magazine.
Since its launch in 2008, CEO Magazine has been putting together its Global MBA ranking of top programs across the world. The rankings are specifically designed with applicants in mind, focusing on factors such as learning environment, tuition fees, international diversity, class sizes, gender makeup and more.
The UTA College of Business’ MBA and EMBA were named Tier One programs, included alongside other top Texas schools such as the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University and the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas.
The goal of the magazine’s ranking is to help students make decisions about where to pursue their MBA degree through an evaluation of each program that combines ROI with a quality education. According to Julie Ngo, director of academic brand management, school rankings are important because they “play a role in shaping the opinions of current and potential students, parents, employers and the government about the quality of education institutions and their program offerings. We can then promote and enhance our reputation and use that as a way to increase enrollment and retention.”
Dr. Chandra Subramaniam, interim dean of the College of Business, commented on the program’s ranking: “The jobs of tomorrow need managers with great business and leadership skills,” she said in a statement. “The faculty at the College of Business arm our students, in both MBA and EMBA programs, with those skills and more so they can achieve success in their careers.”
