Students at the University of Dallas – Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business recently had the opportunity to tour the Westlake campus of Fidelity Investments to network and explore future career possibilities.
UD Gupta students were given the opportunity to tour Fidelity’s 337-acre campus, which features walking and jogging trails and a full cafeteria and gym- not to mention fishing pond and herd of longhorn steers. Students were able to network with UD alumni currently working at the company, learning about the 35 business units and gaining industry insight. The students also had the opportunity to hear from Roger Stiles, MBA ‘93, who currently serves as the Chief Information Officer of Fidelity Personal Investing at the firm’s Westlake branch.
Fidelity is currently the top employer of UD alumni, and has maintained a strong relationship with the school throughout several decades. The school has found a multitude of benefits from their involvement with the firm, which clearly understands the importance of support and innovative benefits for employees.
According to Halley Netsch, the Director of Corporate Relations, the testament to employee satisfaction at Fidelity is apparent in how long employees have been around—many have stayed as long as 15, 25 and even 32 years. “That kind of loyalty marks the caliber of a company and is a testament to the way Fidelity treats employees,” she said in the press release. “We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship and are proud to have so many alumni at a company as highly-regarded as Fidelity.”
Fidelity actively recruits MBA students with specific programs focusing in general management, consulting and finance. Each specialty gives applicants a potential hands-on approach with rigorous training, exposing them to real-world situations and intensive team environments to build and nurture their potential in the industry.
