The University of Dallas – Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business recently announced a new partnership with Kroger, one of the world’s largest grocery retailers.
The partnership between Kroger and Gupta hopes to focus on the Gupta College of Business’ mission, which aims to prepare students for a wide variety of roles in management, across a number of industries.
The partnership offers an immense benefit for employees and their dependents, who will become eligible for special tuition benefits when they enroll at the Gupta College of Business. The benefits will be applicable for all programs at Gupta’s Center for Executive Education, whether undergraduate or graduate.
“Kroger is recognized for building strong local relations with their customers through above—and beyond quality service and retail selections—all at a great value,” said Brett J.L. Landry, Dean of Gupta. “Likewise, this partnership will bring the university closer to the surrounding community, while granting Kroger employees access to a world-class business education.”
Jerry Vincent, Kroger’s Dallas Division Human Resources Manager, commented on the partnership as a representation of the important part education plays within the company community. “Kroger is excited to partner with the University of Dallas to provide this education and career growth opportunity to our employees.”
Similarly, University of Dallas’ Director of Corporate Relations and Partnerships Halley Netsch commented on the university’s respect and admiration for the company’s role in the retail industry. “Through our partnership,” she said, “the Gupta College of Business will support Kroger employees committed to their pursuit of higher education.”
Similar partnerships exist at Gupta for companies like Michaels, Holmes Murphy and CHRISTUS Health.
