Lehigh University College of Business and Economics

At Lehigh University, the Flex MBA program is a stand out for its convenience factor. It offers both on-campus and online options, so you can choose what works best for your schedule. You can even change up how you learn each week. So, if one week you have a busy work schedule, you can take your courses online, and if the following week you have more freedom, you can head to campus.

Though the Flex MBA offers online learning that doesn’t mean the curriculum is less intense. Instead, the university uses Classroom LIVE—an integrated, web-based learning environment—to deliver the program in real-time from classrooms on Lehigh’s campus to students in their homes, workplaces and while they’re traveling.

Students also have a choice about how long it will take to graduate. The part-time and Online programs can take anywhere from 24-72 months to complete, while the Accelerated program takes only 16-24 months, and it’s still part-time with classes every evening Monday-Thursday.

Zicklin School of Business – Baruch College

Zicklin’s part-time MBA is offered in the evenings and includes the same curriculum and professors as the full-time MBA. Typically, students complete the 48-credit program in three years, with an average of six credits (two or three courses) a semester. And for flexibility, students can vary the number of courses and credits they take each semester to accommodate their personal and professional circumstances.

The reason the Zicklin part-time MBA program stands out is due to its class profile; it has one of the largest percentages of female candidates at 45 percent. If you’re interested in the program, you should have an average GMAT of 593 and a GPA of 3.3. Most applicants also have at least five years of work experience and are around 29-years old. MBA candidates accepted into the program have around 86 months of work experience and a GMAT score of 583.

Stern School of Business – New York University

There’s no doubt that the Stern School is one of the top business schools in the U.S., which is just one reason to consider their part-time MBA at Westchester. The program is relatively selective with only 310 students in the fall and 200 in the spring. The average GMAT score is between 620-730, and a student’s typical work experience is between 1-15 years.

As for what makes the Stern part-time MBA stand out: its flexibility. While students are required to take their first-year courses at one of the two campuses—Manhattan or Westchester—after that, they can take classes at either campus during the weeknights or on weekends. And of particular benefit for part-time MBA students is the ability to complete the program by only taking courses on weekends.

Stillman School of Business – Seton Hall University

The Stillman School at Seton Hall University only offers one MBA program designed for working professionals. It’s a part-time MBA program that covers the functional areas of business while also offering classes on ethics and servant leadership. Students in the program typically take classes in the evenings to accommodate busy schedules, but the environment remains hands-on with small classes sizes and a high-level of faculty-student interaction.

As for the curriculum, part-time MBA students at Stillman can choose to specialize their MBA coursework with one of eight concentrations including Sport Management, Finance, Information Technology Management and International Business.
