GDP Technologies, a small business consulting firm, has recently been honored with the Outstanding Partner Award from the Center for Professional Selling (CPS) at the Kennesaw State University – Michael J. Coles College of Business.
According to CPS Director of Extended Relationships Dr. Terry W. Loe, the Outstanding Partner Award honors a CPS partner that demonstrates a high level of commitment to students in the sales department at Coles.
This is the first time GDP Technologies has received the award, but the third year the award has been given out. Recipients are determined through a vote by students in Professional Sales and the CPS staff and faculty. Also evaluated is the level of engagement each company has with the university.
According to Dr. Terry Loe, GDP Technologies has been a consistent and committed partner of the CPS. “GDP has been a critical partner in our being able to achieve our program’s mission and indeed they have been unwavering in reflecting the CPS’ vision,” Dr. Loe commented.
Though this is the third year of the award, the Professional Sales Major has been around at Kennesaw State since 1989 and has since been recognized as one of the Top University Sales programs in the world. This is the second year of GDP’s partnership with the Center for Professional Selling, which has included five CPS students joining the GDP team after graduation. The company often speaks to sales classes at Coles, hosts an open house for students to explore the company’s corporate environment, and allow students to partner with sales professionals for a day to experience what the field is really like.
“KSU represents the pinnacle of Professional Selling curriculum; GDP covets the recognition from this esteemed program,” said GDP Technologies President and CEO John Schweizer. “The award itself takes a backseat only to the satisfaction that comes from supporting these aspiring professionals in pursuing their craft.”
