Sellinger Launches Baltimore Leadership Program For Young Professionals

Sellinger Launches Baltimore Leadership

Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management has announced its involvement in a new leadership program for young professionals living and working in the Baltimore metro.

Leadership Essentials Baltimore County will be a six-month leadership program that will run from December 2017 to June 2018. The new program will be developed by Sellinger’s Executive Education team in collaboration with the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce.

Here are some more details on the new program:

  • Leadership Essentials Baltimore County will combine skill-building, personalized coaching and real-world community projects for classes of about 25 professionals.
  • Participants represent a cross-section of the community from business, government, education, health care and nonprofit organizations.
  • It’s designed to address the critical gap between the skills provided by formal education and the full development of seasoned professionals.
  • Skill-building program includes three components: monthly workshops, individual coaching and team-based projects to address the needs of local non-profit organizations.

“Sellinger brings tremendous business education to Baltimore through our Executive Education seminars and now through Leadership Essentials Baltimore County, which will present our deep understanding of organizational leadership to young professionals,” Scott Moores, Director of Executive Education and Business Development at the Sellinger School, said in a statement.

This is the second such Leadership Essentials program that Selinger has helped launch, the other being in Howard County, Maryland.

“Like the program in Howard County, Leadership Essentials Baltimore County will help professionals learn practical leadership skills, gain wisdom from veteran coaches and network with colleagues, ultimately bringing value to their organizations and their careers,” Lori Fuchs, Program Coordinator for Leadership Essentials Howard County, said.

Are you interested in getting involved? Leadership Essentials Baltimore County will hold recruiting events starting in July and accept applications through early October. For more information, reach out to Fuchs at lfuchs@loyola.edu.
