Stetson Executive Forum Ends With NuVasive Presentation
The 2016-17 Stetson Executive Forum at the Mercer University – Eugene W. Stetson School of Business & Economics concluded its run this year with a presentation from NuVasive Vice Chairman Pat Miles.
The Executive Forum at Mercer is presented by BB&T and is offered as an outreach program by the Stetson School of Business and the Office of University Advancement. The program in noted business speakers for the Stetson business community, allowing both educational and networking opportunities for Mercer students. The presentation from Pat Miles which took place on May 16—with one forum in Atlanta and one in Macon—concluded the series for the 2016-17 school year.
Pat Miles is a 1988 graduate of the Stetson School and currently serves as the vice chairman of NuVasive, an “innovative medical device company focused on developing minimally disruptive surgical products and procedures for the spine”. Miles has served as vice chairman since September, supporting the company’s strategic plan for improving spine surgery and technological developments in the future. Currently, NuVasive is the third-largest company for medical devices in the global spine industry, offering more than 90 products that have already been used in thosands of spine surgeries. The company sells its products in more than 30 countries, generating revenues of $962 million in 2016 and employing more than 2,300 people around the world.
Pat Miles has more than 25 years of experience in the orthopedic industry, and has been with NuVasive since 2004, holding a number of different roles.
