Nancy Nix, the former Executive Director of the Executive MBA program at the Texas Christian University – Neeley School of Business, was recently awarded with the Distinguished Service Award from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
The award recently given to Nix, before retiring from TCU, is the highest honor that can be bestowed for one’s contributions in the field of logistics and supply chain management.
In addition to Executive Director of the EMBA program, Nix has also served TCU as a Founding Director of the Center for Supply Chain Innovation and a professor of professional practice. Since 2014, she has taken on the role of Executive Director at the ‘Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management and Education’ (AWESOME) association, which aims to advance women’s roles in the field of supply chain management. In this position, Nix has increased membership of AWESOME to more than 1,000 women.
Nix also comes from a long history of business education, earning an MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University and a doctorate degree in logistics from the University of Tennessee. She also has a strong background in management during her tenure with the DuPont Company and Reliance Industries Limited in Mumbai, India.
“This is a richly deserved honor for Nancy,” said Morgan Swink, who currently serves in the role of Executive Director of the Center for Supply Chain Innovation and the Eunice and James L. West Chair in supply chain. “Along with her work for the CSCMP, she was the founder and builder of our Center for Supply Chain Innovation. Its success is a lasting legacy to her contributions at TCU.”
