Rotman Appoints 5 New Faculty to Strengthen Research & Teaching

New Rotman Faculty

The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto has appointed five new faculty members for the coming year. These five professors will add to the research and teaching experience at the Rotman School for both pre and post-experience programs. The school also provided cross-appointments for four faculty members according to a news release.

Ryann Manning

Manning was appointed an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. As a Ph.D. graduate from Harvard University and a co-founder of an NGO in Sierra Leone, she brings her interest in global health and international development to Rotman.

Nayana Reiter

Appointed an Assistant Professor of Accounting, Reiter’s research interests include investor communications, cross-listings, disclosure regulation and institutional holdings. Reiter holds a Ph.D. in accounting from the Ross School of Business.

Zachary Zhong

Zhong holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the Haas School of Business as well as a Master of Finance from the University of Hong Kong. He joins the Rotman School as an Assistant Professor of Marketing with research interests in behavioral economics and marketing.

Dana Boyko

With more than 25 years of experience working in capital markets and portfolio management, Boyko was appointed an Assistant Professor of Finance, specifically in the teaching stream. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in economics in Germany.

Ralph Tassone

A graduate of the Rotman Commerce program with a Master of Education, Tassone was appointed an Assistant Professor in Accounting (teaching stream). He is currently a session lecturer in the Rotman Commerce program.

Four current faculty members also received cross appointments:

  • Akash Chattopadhyay received a cross appointment to the University of Toronto Mississauga as well as the Rotman School. He is an Assistant Professor of Accounting.
  • Daniel Goetz, an Assistant Professor of Marketing, was also cross appointed to the University of Toronto Mississauga and the Rotman School.
  • Laurent Cavenaile, an Assistant Professor of Business Economics, joined the University of Toronto Scarborough with a cross appointment at Rotman.
  • Charles Martineau, an Assistant Professor of Finance, was appointed to the University of Toronto Scarborough and the Rotman School.
