Georgetown McDonough Reveals International Business Diplomacy Honors Certificate

One the Washington DC metro’s most prestigious business schools has added another potential offering to its Evening MBA students. According to a recent press release, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business has announced its International Business Diplomacy Honors Certificate will now be extended to those seeking their MBA at night.

The certificate option is offered in partnership with the Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy (IBD) through Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. According to the release, “the program trains students for work at the intersection of international public and private sector activities”

The Landegger Program provides Evening MBAs with resouces in the form of:

• Career coaching
• Skills workshops
• Alumni networking
• Recruiting opportunities
• Co-curricular programming
• Practitioner lunch lectures
• Other special events

This certificate program has been available to full-time MBA students since 1994, but is now available to Evening MBA students as well. Those enrolled in certificate program will take additional coursework in international relations, political economy, and international trade. Students are also required to study one foreign language.

McDonough’s part-time Evening MBA is a 34-month program for working professionals. The program features the same curriculum and faculty, and confers the same degree received by graduates of Georgetown’s full-time MBA Program. The program consists of a convenient class schedule that meets on campus Monday through Thursday evenings and a close-knit, collaborative environment that strengthens their professional and personal networks.

The program’s modular format delivers efficiently concentrated content and allows students to chooses courses that meets their need, whether it be a new job, a promotions, or executive presence.
