Dartmouth Announces New MBA Deadlines, Changes to Admissions

Dartmouth MBA Deadlines

In preparation for the 2019-20 admissions cycle, beginning in early July, the Dartmouth College Tuck School of Business in Hanover, New Hampshire, is introducing a few new changes, including new.

Luke Anthony Peña, Tuck Executive Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, says, “We pledge to listen and to be responsive to our applicants. Moving our round one deadline back two weeks provides several additional days for aspiring Tuck students to visit campus and interview before finalizing round one applications. And once again, we are committing to a shorter wait time for decisions.”

The short-answer section of the application is also going by the wayside, instead prioritizing space for essays. Tuck applicants will provide three separate 300-word essays on the following:

In addition to changes to the essay and recommendation sections in its applications, Dartmouth MBA deadlines have been pushed back slightly for the 2019-20 season.

As for recommendations, Tuck will now be using GMAC’s Common Letter of Recommendation Questions, which are as follows:

Peña adds:

“We really enjoy getting to know our applicants and are eager to reduce anxiety in the application process. Our previous questions for references were distinct. Applicants told us that made the process more onerous. We trust that references with the knowledge, desire, and time to thoughtfully advocate for applicants will still surface meaningful examples of Tuck criteria when responding to these common prompts.”
