This week’s new accounting openings are aimed at an oft-neglected contingent in this dispatch: the accounting set. The four positions listed below are for those who have previous experience in accounting and or may not already be in possession of some sort of accounting-based certification such as a CPA.
Associate – Corporate Ratings — S&P Global

S&P Global is hiring an Associate to work in its Corporate Practice Group, focusing on corporate ratings. The positions available are located in New York City and Centennial, Colorado. The people hired for this position will help develop corporate ratings for the company, using their analytical skills to do so.
This job is a first step in a company that prefers to advance people from within. Candidates for this position should have at least three years of relevant prior experience, and an MBA or CPA is required for the position.

- Performing rigorous analytical work, research, and analysis on corporate entities
- Maintaining a portfolio of corporate issuers
- Providing ongoing surveillance and rating recommendations.

Forensic Accounting, Manager — Deloitte
One of the Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte has been providing professional services since 1845. The company is best known for its consulting and accounting services, using its workforce of 312,000 employees to do so.
Deloitte is hiring Forensic Accounting Managers to work out of the company’s Chicago, Washington, and New York offices. Those hired to this position will join the company’s Investigation and Practices area. This group is focused on helping companies solve challenging complex financial and economic issues in disputes by engaging in in-depth examinations of business records and transactions.
Candidates for this position should have at least five years of relevant prior experience, and a CPA or master’s in accounting is required for this position. Possessing an MBA is a plus for a candidate.

Risk Advisory Services Manager — BDO

BDO is hiring a Risk Advisory Services Manager to work out of its San Jose office. The person hired for this position will lead a team of professionals that will help clients address issues relating to internal audits and internal control. Candidates for this position will need to have at least six years of prior relevant experience, and a CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, or equivalent certification is required. Preferred candidates will possess a MBA degree.
