UG Will Host Harvard Economist for Q&A About Income Inequality
Gregory Mankiw, department chair of economics at Harvard University, will speak on “Income Inequality: Facts, Hypothesis, and Policy Prescriptions” at University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.
The talk will take place March 26 at 11 am. It is open to students, alumni and the public as part of the Spring Economics Seminar. The talk will go on for one hour followed by an extended Q&A session about income inequality.
Mankiw is ranked as one of the 50 most-cited and influential research economists in the world. His economics course is one of the most popular at Harvard, regularly enrolling between 600-700 students.
Mankiw also served as the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers to Former President George W. Bush. He is a prolific writer and a regular participant in academic and policy debates.
