Princeton Review Ranks UNT in the Top 25 Online MBA Programs

The Princeton Review ranked the University of North Texas College of Business’ online MBA 14th on its list of the Top 25 Online MBA Programs. The College of Business offers nearly 40 graduate courses online serving approximately 400 UNT graduate students. The school plans to expand its online offerings by introducing a new online MBA concentration in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management in Fall 2015.

The Princeton Review rankings took five criteria into account: selectivity, academics, faculty, career outcomes, and technical programs. The rankings were based on information from surveys sent to eighty business schools with online MBAs and nearly two thousand students enrolled in online MBA programs. This year marks the first time that The Princeton Review used the results of both types of surveys when ranking online MBA programs.

Marilyn Wiley, the interim dean of the College of Business, stated “the College of Business has been extremely proactive in making sure our online business programs were of the highest quality by training instructors, reviewing classes annually, and working with the Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment and Redesign.”

Wiley also observed that UNT aims to minimize the difference between an online MBA and an on campus MBA: “We provide wonderful support to our [online MBA] students. Our graduate advising office has advisors who work with the students and help them through the program. We provide coaches, and we have the same excellent content and faculty in our online classes that we do in our face-to-face classes.”
