New Faculty to Join Cameron School of Business
As the new school year begins, the University of St. Thomas welcomes twenty-one new faculty members to a number of their educational programs, including four new professors at the Cameron School of Business. Additional faculty members have joined the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Education and Human Services, and the School of Theology.
The Cameron School of Business has gained faculty members with diverse backgrounds and experience. Dr. Joseph Cerami, a retired colonel having served a 30-year career in the U.S. military, is a tenure-track associate professor who will also serve as director of the new Center for Ethical Leadership. Cerami holds a doctorate from the School of Public Affairs at Penn State University, as well as master’s degreed in government and military art and science.
Joining the economics faculty is Dr. Wan-Ju Iris Franz, a visiting assistant professor with academic interests in behavioral economics and applied game theory. Dr. Franz received her doctorate in economics from the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Chih-Huei “Debby” Su will teach corporate finance, financial management and investment. Earning her doctorate in finance and MBA from Baruch College at City University of New York between 2013-2015, her research is centered on the interactions between corporate finance and financial institutions. In particular she is interested in how relationship banks can influence a coproration’s decision making process through lending channels.
Dr. Pooya Tabesh will teach entrepreneurship at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Tabesh earned his doctorate in management from Bauer College of Business, and a Master’s of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Houston. His research is focused on strategic decision-making processes, leadership, and behavioral decision theory.
