UC Davis Offers Panel on Storytelling in a Data Driven Era

On Tuesday, February 16, 2016, The UC Davis Graduate School of Management will hold its 13th Annual Peer-to-Pier Networking Event, at which panel members will address the topic “Storytelling in a Data Driven Era”.

The panel will be comprised of esteemed alumni and faculty of the college.

Featured panelist Ashwin Aravindakshan, Associate Professor of Management at UC Davis GSM, has a specialty in research that reveals the keys to resource management for brands. He recently co-authored an article entitled Optimal Periodic Advertising’ which discusses the memorability of advertising among consumers. His research assists advertising managers in maximizing their budgets and in strengthening the talents of their creative staffs.

Also presenting will be Aaron Carpenter, who earned his MBA from GSM in 1998. Carpenter is Chief Customer Officer at Hubnami, a San Francisco based company which enables its clients to maximize their social media impact. He oversees user experience, marketing and sales for the company. He joined the company in 2015 after a successful career as VP of Global Marketing for The North Face.

Lisa Maulhardt, (UC Davis MA in Fiction Writing, ’92) is Executive Vice President of SY/Partners, a consulting firm that leads companies in brand development and dynamic strategic management training. Maulhardt joined the firm as a writer, and has grown in her role to handle clients such as Herman Miller, Sundance, PBS, and Starbucks.

Abby Lunardini is VP of Brand Marketing & Communications for Virgin America. She earned her BA from UC Davis and her Masters of Economics from the London School of Economics. Lunardini has propelled Virgin America forward since its US launch in 2007. Prior to joining Virgin, she served in such positions as Managing Director for Mercury Public Affairs, Director of Advocacy Communications at the University of California, and Special Assistant for Executive Communications for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
