UCLA Anderson Showcases Innovation at CrEAte Conference

On April 29, 2016, the UCLA Anderson School of Management hosted its 31st Annual CrEAte Conference, a full-day event showcasing the school’s prominence as a center for entrepreneurship.

Attended by students, professionals, faculty and entrepreneurs, CrEAte is organized by Anderson MBAs, and is a partnership between Anderson’s High Tech Business and Entrepreneur Associations. The event has grown into the largest of its kind on the west coast.

Jake Neuberg and Ramit Varma delivered keynote addresses. They are the co-founders of Revolution Prep, which provides high school students with professional tutors during the college application process. Anderson MBA alumni Kate Pletcher, CEO of Treehouse Partners, and Sunny Saran, CEO of e2 Solutions, a healthcare management consultancy, also shared their insights on how the seeds of their successful ventures were planted during their time on campus. Zarik Boghossian, the founder of Woven Media, a digital media and branding agency, delivered the conference’s closing remarks.

CrEAte is sponsored by Anderson’s Harold and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, which supervises the school’s recently formed Venture Accelerator and the undergraduate minor in entrepreneurship.

A leader in the advancement of innovation in entrepreneurship, the Price Center is internationally recognized for its efforts to promote theory and research that breaks new ground across the worlds of tech, venture capital, social enterprise, and private equity.

In addition to the speaker events, CrEAte featured TED-style talks and panel discussions covering pressing topics in the worlds of tech, law, healthcare, fintech and investments. Additional sponsors included BulletProof, Prodigy Finance, the Investment Finance Association and O’Connect.
