Stillman Selects New Members for Center for Entrepreneurial Studies Hall of Fame

Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business, home to the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies since 2003, recently selected the two newest members of its Center’s Hall of Fame. James M. DiCarlo, Jr., co-founder of Fleetwash, Inc., and Shannon D.M. Morris, President of Sigma Group–both Stillman alums–will be officially inducted this September.

Both DiCarlo and Morris have achieved enormous professional success since their time at Seton Hall; they have given back to the Stillman and their communities by serving as judges, lecturers, and mentors for budding student entrepreneurs. They will join the ranks of fourteen previously honored alumni at the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies’ eighth annual Hall of Fame dinner.

The Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Stillman opened its doors in 2003, with the intention of connecting student talent and ideas to thriving startups. Faculty, alumni, and area entrepreneurs, like DiCarlo and Morris, help Stillman students put entrepreneurship into action through the Center and help prepare these students for a post-graduate economy that demands entrepreneurial innovation and strategy. DiCarlo, for instance, serves as a judge and lecturer in the school’s Entrepreneurship program.

Stillman MBA students can opt to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies by taking four, three-hour courses in the Entrepreneurial Studies curriculum. Courses required to receive the Certificate include “Growing a Small Business” and “Innovation and Entrepreneurship.” The Certificate gives students the skills to join and expand current businesses and also allows them to showcase valuable marketable skills to future employers.
