Fordham Professor Dawn Lerman To Serve as 2013-2014 Associate Dean of Graduate Business Education
Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business announced earlier this month that Professor Dawn Lerman will serve as the Associate Dean of Graduate Business Education for 2013-2014 while Professor Sris Chatterjee is on sabbatical.
Dean Lerman was formerly the Chair of the Marketing Department at Fordham (Professor Sertan Kabadayi will be taking over this role while Lerman acts as Associate Dean). Her work focuses on consumer behavior, specifically consumer language processing, and she has been published in a variety of academic sources.
Before moving to Fordham, Lerman worked in Paris and New York, where she was a business analyst at The Ferolie Group. There she managed several well-known brands for firm’s including Kraft, Apple & Eve, and McCormick.
Lerman is also the Executive Director of the Center for Positive Marketing at Fordham. The Center for Positive Marketing is an organization “dedicated to upholding marketing as a force for satisfying the interdependent needs of organizational stakeholders, individual citizens, and society at large.” In its mission it recognizes the relationship between consumers and marketers and the need to capitalize on mutual benefits. The Center hosts an annual conference, in addition to funding research, allocating an annual marketing award, and offering a variety of educational programming.
