La Salle School of Business Introduces New Online MBA

La Salle Online MBA

In October 2017, La Salle University’s School of Business will officially launch its new Online MBA program. The program is entirely virtual, so students can earn an MBA regardless of their physical location. Courses in the program last eight weeks, with five start dates to choose from each year. Students pursuing the Online MBA can choose from a variety of specializations, such as Business Systems and Analytics, Management, Marketing, Finance and Accounting.

Until now, La Salle business students’ online options were limited to the part-time Hybrid MBA, which required that students complete 50 percent of each course on campus. The Online MBA will offer the same quality of education as the well-regarded part-time program, but with added flexibility for students juggling careers and family obligations.

In the announcement of the new program, MarySheila McDonald, J.D., Interim Dean of La Salle’s School of Business, said, “Our faculty, program directors and instructional designers have adapted our MBA curriculum using technology so it’s more efficient and productive—much like the corporate world does.” She added, “Students become part of a close-knit virtual team and learning community in which members can live and work anywhere in the world to collaborate and advance their professional paths.”

La Salle notes that students pursuing the Online MBA can look forward to developing skills in: strategic thinking, leadership and teamwork, oral and written communication, understanding the ways the business environment affects decision-making, financial analysis, operational reporting and global and regional markets.

The program requires 33-39 credit hours, and it can be completed in 14 months. Students on the Online MBA track still have access to La Salle’s extensive alumni network and experienced faculty.
