University of Colorado, Boulder – Leeds School of Business
History
The Colorado University Boulder Leeds School of Business, founded in 1906, it is the one of the oldest business schools in the U.S. The school earned its AACSB accreditation in 1937, and began offering doctoral degrees of business in 1960. In 1965, largely due to the success of the doctoral program, the Graduate School of Business began offering master’s degrees.
Formerly known as both College of Comm (then part of the College of Liberal Arts) and the School of Business Administration, the Leeds School of Business gained its name in 2001 after a $35 million donation from the Leeds family. The donation allowed the school to redesign its curriculum and to highlight social responsibility and ethics as the distinctive focus.

The Koelbel building, named for its generous alumni benefactors, boasts 165,000 square feet of classrooms, conference rooms, teaching laboratories, a business library, a grand atrium, and dining facilities.
