Loyola University Part-Time MBA Program Structure
The Loyola University part-time Professional’s MBA at Sellinger School of Business offers the high quality content of the full-time day program to students who wish to continue working during the day. Students can begin their studies at the beginning of any term. Classes are offered on weeknights, Monday-Thursday as part of a blended curriculum or entirely online. Classes meet at graduate centers in Timonium and Columbia.
Students select their courses and campus locations each semester to meet their academic program plan requirements and work-life balance. Students typically complete the program from 2-3 years.
Curriculum
Depending on the student’s individual academic program plan and any foundation course waivers, the Loyola University part-time MBA typically requires 39 credits. Many students will need some, but not all, foundation courses.
Required core courses cover the areas of Analytical Skills, Leadership and Communication, and Functional Areas. Course titles include Managerial Economics, Leading and Managing People, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Financial Strategy, and Globalization and International Management.
Through Loyola’s MBA concentrations and specializations students can select their course electives to focus on one of eight areas: General Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Investments and Applied Portfolio Management, International Business, Management, Information Systems, or Marketing.

Eighty-five percent of current graduate students at Loyola University are from Maryland. Seventy-one percent of Loyola graduate students are female, 34% are students of color and 72% are attending school part-time.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
The Loyola University part-time MBA tuition is $1,030 per credit., At 39 credits the total comes to $40,170. Total tuition can vary, depending on total credits taken per student. Loyola University also charges a registration fee of $25.
A variety of grants and scholarships are available to Loyola students. Business students can apply for merit-based awards as well Ignatius Grants, the latter of which are for students who have shown a commitment to Jesuit values and who show promise of doing well in the program.
Most student loans are based on either financial need or creditworthiness and are available only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. School of Business students commonly use the Federal Stafford Loan Program or the Alternative Education Loans. Private loans may also be available.
Admissions
Applicants to the Loyola University part-time MBA program must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Students also need to have some work experience, usually at least two years.
To apply to the part-time program, applicants must submit a completed application form, college transcripts from degree-granting and non-degree-granting institutions, a personal essay, a current résumé and one letter of recommendation. Applicants must also send in their GMAT or GRE scores (waived through 2022 due to Covid-19) and a nonrefundable $60 application fee.
Non-native English language speaking applicants must submit an official IELTS or TOEFL score report with an application.
