Both programs feature distance learning periods between residencies.

Curriculum

Both EMBA programs offer the same curriculum, with major differences coming in the form of residencies. For the Global Executive MBA, the first and last residency is held at the main Duke campus in Durham, North Carolina. Typically international residencies take place in countries like Chile, China, India, Germany, and more. The Global EMBA covers 17 courses over six terms, which includes: 10 core curriculum courses, three multi-term courses, and four electives.

During the fifth term of both EMBA programs, each cohort combines, taking four electives for a two-week on-campus residency. An optional, three-credit Global Academic Travel Experience is offered to Weekend EMBA students, taken in part with Daytime MBA students.
