D’Amore-McKim School of Business – Northeastern University

History

The D’Amore-McKim School of Business, part of Northeastern University, was founded in 1922 and began awarding graduate business degrees in 1952. Originally the College of Business Administration, the school was renamed in September 2012 after a $60 million donation from alumni Richard D’Amore and Alan McKim. D’Amore-McKim is an AACSB-accredited institution and offers three MBA programs: full-time, part-time and Online. Through its Center for Entrepreneurship Education, classes and other educational programming are offered to well over 1,500 students each year and IDEA, the student-led venture accelerator, has over 150 active ventures.

Location(s)

All MBA programs take place at Northeastern’s 73-acre main campus in the Fenway Cultural District of Boston, Massachusetts. It is located near the Museum of Fine Arts and Symphony Hall. Northeastern also has campuses in Charlotte, N.C., Silicon Valley and Seattle.

Boston’s Logan International Airport is located nearly 20 minutes away from the main Northeastern campus.

Facilities

The D’Amore-McKim School of Business is housed in Dodge Hall, located near the center of campus on Huntington Avenue. Business students receive a Husky Card that gives them access to the rest of Northeastern’s facilities, including the Snell Library, which features over 804,739 print volumes, more than 513,000 e-books, and 74,893 electronic journals, and the university’s athletic facilities.

Located just outside Boston, Northeastern’s Warren Conference Center is a 200-acre wooded lakefront facility designed for executive education and management programs.

Faculty

The D’Amore-McKim School of Business employs approximately 170 faculty members in addition to a number of academic specialists and lecturers. These faculty members teach across seven principal academic areas: Accounting; Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Finance; Supply Chain and Information Management; International Business and Strategy; Management and Organizational Development and Marketing.

Student Body

There are approximately 4,113 undergraduate students at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business. The school also has roughly 1,602 graduate students.

MBA Degree Offerings

Students can enroll in the Northeastern’s full-time MBA, part-time MBA, and the soon-to-be created Executive MBA program. As well, there are numerous dual degree MBAs available, including a MS in Accounting/MBA, and full and part-time MS in Finance/MBA, JD/MBA, LLM/MBA, a online MS in Finance/MBA, and a MS in Nursing/MBA.
