Pittsburgh Katz Executive MBA Program Structure
Katz offers three different EMBA programs: an Executive MBA Worldwide in Pittsburgh, an Executive MBA Worldwide in São Paulo, and an Executive MBA in Healthcare designed for students with significant professional experience in healthcare. The Worldwide EMBAs take 18 months to complete, and the Healthcare EMBA requires 19 months. All programs welcome one intake a year, each May.
São Paulo courses are held once a month, from 8:30 am-5:30 pm. Classes are taught fully in English. In the EMBA in Healthcare, students utilize a blend of online and in-person learning, with classes held on the Pittsburgh campus one Friday and Saturday per month.
Curriculum
The curriculum for the EMBA Worldwide in Pittsburgh and São Paulo is identical, as is the faculty. The mix of required core courses, Global Executive Forums, and electives total 48 credit hours. International exposure is a hallmark of both programs and students will complete international site visits and business trips to immerse themselves in hands-on, international business experience.
Over the course of five terms, EMBA in Healthcare students will take three to four courses a term, including a research practicum at the end of each term.

Class Profile
The São Paulo and Pittsburgh classes are, on average, 38-years old with 14 years of work experience and nine years of managerial experience. Seventy-nine percent of the class is male, and 21 percent is female. In the Class of 2019, students came from a wide variety of educational backgrounds including pharma/biotech/healthcare, manufacturing, consulting, petroleum/energy, banking and financial services, and consumer products, among others.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
The Pittsburgh Executive MBA in Healthcare tuition is $95,000 for the entire program. The EMBA Worldwide São Paulo program totals $56,500 and includes all books, cases, simulations, and hotel lodging at the Global Executive Forums. The EMBA Worldwide Pittsburgh program totals $80,000 and also includes all books, cases, simulations, and hotel lodging at the Global Executive Forums.
Students in the EMBA for Healthcare program may finance their education through Federal Stafford Loans for up to a maximum of $20,500 per academic year.

Admissions
For each EMBA program, applicants must submit: an online application form, a current resume, two letters of recommendation, official college or university transcripts, and official IELTS/TOEFL scores if applicable. Applicants to the EMBA Worldwide in Pittsburgh and São Paulo must submit GMAT or GRE scores in most cases, whereas EMBA Healthcare students do not. All applicants must complete an in-person interview.
We make admissions decisions typically within three weeks of receiving a complete application package and conducting an interview. Your application will either be accepted, rejected or wait-listed. If wait-listed, an admissions decision may not be made until a month before classes begin. At that time, those with the strongest credentials are admitted.
