Babson Offers Entrepreneurship Boot Camp
Recently, up and coming entrepreneurs from twelve countries gathered at Babson College for the open enrollment program “The Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp: A Deep Dive for New Ventures.” The week-long intensive prepares entrepreneurs to advance their ventures by helping them develop the confidence, strategies, and tools they need to grow their business.
The program’s Faculty Director, Angelo Santinelli, says that the program is intended to allow entrepreneurs to hit the ground running by covering essential aspects of entrepreneurship. The program teaches entrepreneurs tools for assessing product and market fit. Students will learn how to perform competitive and industry analyses, build their brand, allocate resources, and manage cash flow. During the week, students will also work to build their understanding of themselves as entrepreneurs, focusing on the roles and responsibilities they have and their motivations. Students will also be exposed to assessment and feasibility techniques, including rapid iteration testing, product definition, ideation, and designing the minimum viable product.
The program includes panel discussions featuring investors and entrepreneurs. Students will work in teams and present group work and ideas to faculty and other attendees. The program faculty includes academics, entrepreneurs with venture capital and startup experience, and experienced practitioners.
Santinelli claims that the program has had significant benefits for past attendees: “I regularly hear from past participants of the program who have gone on and secured financing, launched new products, hired employees, and grown revenues since participating in the Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp. Through this program, we are building a global network of efficacious entrepreneurs.”
Babson will offer another session of the Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp from June 23-27 of this year. Registration is currently open for the program. For more information, see the program website.
