Cal State Long Beach Online MBA Program Structure
The Cal State Long Beach Online MBA Program offers a fully online experience to complete the degree in 21 to 48 months. The program includes working in virtual teams to learn collaboratively, on-campus meetups and an international trip. Class sizes range between 25-35 in a cohort-based delivery with dedicated program advisors that work with you throughout your program. 50% of the program is synchronous, in which you interact with faculty and students in the virtual classroom. 50% of the program is asynchronous, which provides access to pre-recorded lectures and digital curriculum material, collaborative documents, and discussion boards based on your schedule.
Curriculum
There are two curriculum tracks available: Full-Time (2-Year program) and Part-Time (4-Year program). Classes include Marketing Concepts, Financial Accounting, Seminars in Human Resources, Managerial Accounting, Business Policies, Operations and Management, and Marketing Policies among many others. The core classes parallel those of the on-campus curriculum but their online format allows remote access to CSU’s extensive academic resources.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid</strong
The Cal State Long Beach Online MBA tuition is approximately $30,400 for the 48-unit program for Full-time California Residents and $37,700 for Part-time California Residents. Tuition is approximately $49,400 for Full-time Non-California Residents and approximately $56,700 for Part-time Non-California Residents. Tuition and fees do not include the cost of books, on-campus parking, and other incidentals. Additionally, the cost for online proctoring (Examity) is not included in the tuition and fees.
All candidates are considered for scholarships based on the qualitative and quantitative components of your application.
Admissions
Admission guidelines to the Cal State Long Beach Online MBA are as follows:
A resume, two letters of recommendation, short answer personal statement, and video statement of purpose.
A minimum of 3 years work experience is preferred. Work experience is recommended so that students are able to receive full benefit from their class work.
The Online MBA program must have maintained a GPA of at least 2.75 in their previously earned undergraduate degree. Those submitting GMAT scores need to have scored a minimum of 500 with a 4.0 score in the essay and integrated reasoning sections. If students elect to submit a GRE instead of GMAT they must have scored At least 150 in each verbal and quantitative section and at least 4.0 in the essay section. There is a non-refundable $70 application fee.
If you received your undergraduate degree in Business Administration from an AACSB accredited institution, with at least a 3.0 GPA you would be considered for a test waiver. Otherwise, you may qualify for a test waiver with at least 4 years of significant managerial work experience.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis from October 1 through June 1 for fall admission.
