Florida State University College of Business

History

The AACSB-accredited Florida State University College of Business was originally established in 1950, nearly 100 years after the opening of the university itself. The business school is one of 16 separate colleges within the university network and was founded the same year as its College of Nursing.

Since its founding, the business school has incorporated 10 different Bachelor’s degree majors, eight different Master’s degrees, seven Ph.D. in business administration majors, and three undergraduate minors, teaching over 70,000 graduate alumni.

The Florida State College of Business is located in the north end of the expansive university campus in Tallahassee, Florida, less than 10 miles northeast of the Tallahassee International Airport.

Facilities

In late 2018, the designs for the soon-to-be-opened Legacy Hall were officially completed, with construction groundbreaking set for fall 2019. The new $88 million, 218,392 square-foot facility will act as the heart of the FSU College of Business, featuring five floors, a central atrium, a 300 seat auditorium, a financial trading room, and much more.

There are currently 47 total faculty members teaching in the FSU College of Business various MBA programs.

Student Body

There are an estimated 44 students in the Florida State University full-time MBA program and 299 students enrolled in the part-time MBA program.

MBA Degree Offerings

The Florida State College of Business offers an accelerated, one year full-time MBA program, an evening part-time MBA program, an Online part-time MBA program, an Online part-time MBA program with a real estate specialization, and several joint MBA degrees.
