University of Washington Foster Master of Science in Information Systems Program Structure
The University of Washington Foster MS in Information Systems Program is a 12-month, full-time, work-compatible program. Students take courses Monday and Wednesday evenings (6 pm – 9:30 pm as well as Saturdays (9 am – 5 pm).
Curriculum
The Foster MS in Information Systems Program equips current and future business leaders with the skills needed to be at the forefront of technological innovation. Students take courses in data mining and analytics, cloud computing, information security, executive leadership, and more. With 44 credits, our one-year, full-time, work-compatible program provides students technical training in Python and R programming, statistics, SQL and database management, and enterprise systems to perform robust data analytics.
Class Profile
The Foster MS in Information Systems program welcomes up to 100 students each year. In the Class of 2021, 61% of students identified as female. Students average about 3.5 years of work experience, and the average GMAT score is 650.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid for the Foster MS in Information Systems
Tuition cost for the Foster MSIS program is $40,000, not including university fees or living expenses. Students can apply for limited scholarships based on financial need and merit.
Admissions to the Foster MS in Information Systems
The MSIS program takes a holistic approach to evaluate applications, looking at factors such as academic experience, professional background, managerial potential, communication skills, and more. Applicants are expected to demonstrate basic proficiency in the areas of databases, data networking, and object-oriented environments.
Applicants must submit an online applicant profile, resume, personal statement, 2 letters of recommendation, transcripts, video interview, and proof of English proficiency (if applicable), along with an $85 application fee. GMAT or GRE scores are required.
