Baylor University Online MBA Program Structure
The Baylor University Online MBA at the Hankamer School of Business is a new program at Baylor. It is an accelerated program that students can usually complete in 12 to 16 months. In other words, students complete 2 courses or 48 credit hours for the program. Each course is worth four credit hours and is completed in seven weeks. Students can complete the program part-time or full-time, depending on the number of courses taken per semester and the student’s schedule.
Curriculum
A majority of Baylor online MBA students study business statistics, ethical leadership, manufacturing and service operations, strategic management, marketing or strategic communications. Before they begin the online MBA curriculum, participants are encouraged to complete the business foundation courses provided. These courses cover the foundations of statistics, accounting, economics, finance, and business law, for instance.
Baylor Online MBA Class Profile
The average age of an online Baylor MBA student is 34. Students in the online program tend to have more work experience than those in the campus-based program, with most students having at least 11-12 years of experience. Sixty percent of the most recent class identifies as male; meanwhile, thirty-five percent of the class is an underrepresented minority. The program’s scheduling options and accelerated format offer professionals the flexibility of completing their MBA without taking a leave of absence from work.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
Ultimately, the cost of the Baylor online MBA is $60,624 for students who don’t have an AACSB-accredited bachelor’s degree in business. It costs roughly $51,264 for those who do have the degree. Students will pay a one-time $50 application fee and a $100 administration fee per term.
Baylor awards Dean’s Scholarships to outstanding applicants each term based on an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above. Dean’s Scholars receive $500 tuition credit per course.
Some students may also be eligible for International Fellows Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to applicants each entering term based on the student’s achievement in undergraduate studies. Eligible students have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25; and they will have at least four years of international managerial experience or US-based management of an international market sector.
Therefore, applicants must provide proof of qualifying international experience to be approved for this scholarship.
The Baylor MBA program reserves Military Scholarships for students who have served in the military, including both active duty and veterans. Students with military scholarships receive $500 tuition credit per course.
Admissions at Baylor University
Those applying to the Baylor University online MBA program must have results from either the GMAT or GRE. Students with at least four years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience may be granted GMAT/GRE waivers. There is no minimum GMAT or GRE score requirement. There is no professional work experience requirement for the online MBA program, though most students have at least six years of experience.
In addition, applicants must complete three essays as part of the admissions process. These essays are 200 to 500 words that will give applicants the opportunity to share their qualifications, experiences, and reasons for applying to the online MBA program.
Furthermore, they should provide a current resume that includes professional work experience, accomplishments and skills acquired, including managerial experience.
In conclusion, applicants are required to include personal information before submitting. They should provide contact information for two professional references, transcripts from all degree granting institutions (Baylor alumni do not have to submit transcripts), and TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic scores (for international applicants). Applicants must also pay a $50 non-refundable application fee (veterans and current military will not need to pay the application fee).
