MBA Program Structure
The MBA program at the Metropolitan College of New York offers a one-year program in four specializations: financial services; general management; health services and risk management; and media management. In any of the chosen specializations, students participate in a 10-day study abroad program, of which students have traveled to countries like Switzerland, France, and the UK, among others. During the international study, students earn hands-on experience with notable companies like Deutsche Bank, Ogilvy & Mather, AHK, Helab Landesbank, and much more.
The program is designed to suit students with a working schedule, offering flexible course times.
Curriculum
The one-year, 45 credit MBA programs features three different “Purpose” segments, each worth 15 credits (five courses). In each Purpose, the curriculum is split between five distinct segments: Constructive Action; Value & Ethics; Self & Others; Systems; and Skills.
Each specialization features four foundation courses: Managerial Statistics; Principles of Management & Marketing; Principles of Financial Accounting; Principles of Economics & Finance. Each is worth 1.5 credits.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
Per term, the MCNY MBA program costs $14,640 per term. Over three terms, this total comes to $43,920. There is an additional services fee of $395 per term.
In addition, there is a $98 virtual lab fee, an $8 transcript fee, and additional fees to acquire and replace student IDs. There is no fee to apply to the program.
Numerous scholarships and grants are available to graduate students, based on need, merit, or both. New York State residents attending a private school in the state may be eligible for the Enhanced Tuition Award, which awards select recipients up to $6,000. Further details can be found here.
Applicants may be eligible to fund their education through federal direct loans, federal direct subsidized loans, federal direct unsubsidized loans, and graduate federal PLUS loans.
Admissions
In order to apply to the MCNY MBA program, potential students must complete an online application form and submit the following:
• Official transcripts
• Two letters of recommendation
• One essay (300-500 words)
• Resume
• Proof of English proficiency (if needed)
Strong applicants will be subject to an interview with the dean and/or director of the MCNY MBA program. No application fee is required.
