Cal State Fullerton Fully Employed MBA Program Structure

Designed for fully employed professionals, the three-year Cal State Fullerton Fully Employed MBA (FEMBA) at Mihaylo College of Business’ basic curriculum consists of 42-semester units. The courses are held at CSU Fullerton’s Irvine campus however instruction is predominantly online currently in response to the pandemic.

Curriculum

The Cal State Fullerton Fully Employed MBA requires 36 months to complete and is offered in a cohort format.

Attending class twice a week, from 7 to 9:45 p.m., students take one course every 6-8 weeks. Students complete two courses each fall and spring semester and one course during summer.

Foundational courses (21 units) at Mihaylo emphasize conceptual, analytical, technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

FEMBA students complete a general concentration (12 units or four courses) focusing on team leadership, financial administration, marketing and comparative management.

Also required of FEMBA students is one capstone course (three units), which matches student teams with a local business for a consulting project.

Students may also opt to travel abroad with faculty and other students to learn more about international business environments. Travel abroad experience replaces one elective course.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

Mihaylo graduate students may apply for any of a number of scholarship and financial aid packages. The Michael A. Reagan Scholarship, for example, is a merit-based scholarship available to newly enrolled Mihaylo graduate students—it awards $8,000 in two installments.

Admissions

Prospective Cal State Fullerton Fully Employed MBA students must have an undergraduate degree before applying for admission. Additionally, five years of work experience is required.

Cal State Fullerton MBA applicants must submit the standard California State University application along with a departmental application, which consists of a background information sheet, transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, official and unofficial GMAT or GRE scores and a resume. Optionally, up to three letters of recommendation may be submitted. GMAT/GRE waivers are offered to select students that have seven or more years of professional work experience.

International students must also submit TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores, financial affidavits, a copy of your passport and a copy of your I-20 and/or I-94. The minimum scores for international applicants are 570 for the TOEFL, 7 for the IELTS, and 65 for the PTE.

All applicants must submit a $55 application fee.
