Muma College of Business Online MBA Program Structure

The ultra-flexible, Online MBA program is built for students that wish to earn an MBA on their own preferred time. Students can complete their degree in as little as four semesters (if foundation courses are waived), or take courses on a part-time schedule, finishing in as much as five years.

The full program is comprised of 16 credits of business foundation courses, 17 credits of core courses, and 15 credits of elective courses. A three-credit practicum option is also available.

Curriculum

The program starts with a mandatory three-day residency held at the USF Muma College of Business campus, allowing students to interact face-to-face with professors and fellow classmates.

Entrants that have not earned an undergraduate business degree within the past seven years must take business foundation courses on the following three topics: Business Decision Making; Business Measurement; and Market Orientation. For those that enrolled with a business degree, only 32-credit hours of core courses and electives are required. The available elective concentrations are: Cybersecurity; Data Analytics; and Compliance, Risk and Anti-Money Laundering.

The program concludes with another three-day residency at the Muma College of Business, where students present their final projects and attend the graduation ceremony.

Class Profile

Students in the USF Online MBA program enroll with an average of five years of prior work experience. The average GMAT score of the most recent class is around 570 and the mean undergraduate GPA is 3.3.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The current tuition rate of the USF Online MBA program at the Muma College of Business is $900 per credit hour. For students that do not have to take business foundation courses, the total comes to $28,800. Those that must take all 48 credits will pay a rate of $43,200.

Applicants that have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2 and a GMAT score of at least 500 will earn automatic scholarship consideration. Active U.S. military members or recent veterans may be able to have their education funded through the Post 9-11 GI Bill.

Students may be able to fund their education through federal or private loans, although international students are limited to just private loans, if needed.

Admissions

In order to apply to the USF Online MBA program at the Muma College of Business, applicants must have previously earned an undergraduate degree at an accredited university and a GPA of at least 3.0 in their last 60 credit hours. Applicants are expected to have at least five years of previous professional work experience. GMAT/GRE scores are required, but select candidates may be eligible for a waiver with consummate managerial experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree from USF Tampa with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Waiver requests must be included with the application.

The following must also be submitted:

• A completed graduate application
• Transcripts
• A current résumé
• Statement of Purpose (one to two pages)
• Two letters of recommendation
• TOEFL test scores for non-native English speaking applicants (if necessary)
• $30 application fee
