Rowan University Part-Time and Online MBA Program Structures
The Rowan University part-time MBA program at Rohrer College of Business lasts for six semesters, or potentially less than 24 months in total. Students take two courses each during the fall, spring, and summer terms and three courses during one of their two fall terms. The non-accelerated part-time MBA model can be completed in 27 months, 32 months or six years. In both the 27 and 32-month options, students complete two courses per semester, whereas those pursuing the six-year program take one course per semester.
Additionally, Rowan’s online MBA is also offered in part-time, accelerated format that can be completed in less than 24 months. The degree requires 36 graduate semester hours in order to fully complete. Courses are scheduled in eight-week modules that run from Tuesday mornings to Monday nights.
All MBA classes meet one evening per week or on Saturday mornings. Evening classes meet Monday-to-Thursday from 6:30-9 p.m. Those pursuing courses on Saturdays usually have class from 9-11:30 a.m. or 9:30-12 p.m.
Curriculum
All Rowan University part-time MBA students must fulfill Foundation course requirements which may be completed either before applying or upon entry into the program.
Rowan requires all MBA students to fulfill 36 semester hours (credits), with 27 hours devoted to required courses and nine hours to business electives. Required courses cover subjects such as management, marketing, accounting, decision-making and organizational strategy.
Students may also pursue a specialization by enrolling in three courses in one of the following three areas: Strategic Planning for Operating Managers, Project Management, or Introduction to Supply Chain Management.

Recent statistics note that 74 students are enrolled in the part-time program. Over 56 percent of the part-time students are male, and about 43 percent are female. Nearly 27 of the class features students of minority status.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
For the current academic year, students enrolled in Rowan’s online MBA program pay $935.65 per semester hour. With a total of 36 semester hours, this comes to $33,683.
Rowan University does not offer financial aid specifically to MBA students but they can seek financial aid with other undergraduate and graduate students by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to become eligible. Non-U.S. citizens may look into securing private loans.
Admissions
In order to apply to any of Rowan University’s MBA programs, applicants must have completed a baccalaureate degree or equivalent (with a minimum GPA of 2.5).
To apply to the MBA Program, candidates are required to submit an online application and their GMAT (minimum score: 450) or GRE scores, undergraduate transcripts, current résumé, an essay on their career plans, two letters of recommendation, and a $65 application fee. Rowan will consider GRE results from exams taken within the past five years. The GRE/GMAT requirement may be waived if a student meets certain criteria.
