History of the Ted Rogers School of Management
The Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) is located in downtown Toronto and was founded in 1948 as the Faculty of Business at the Ryerson Institute of Technology. Now there are around 11,000 students attending TRSM and there are around 52,000 alumni. The school offers business programs at the graduate and undergraduate levels. It has 15 research labs, institutes, and centers, as well as six schools of management. The school earned AACSB accreditation in 2011 and was officially named the Ted Rogers School of Management in 2007.

Location
Toronto is the centre of finance, consulting, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Canada. The school is located in the middle of the city’s business district. The school’s exact location is 575 Bay St. (entrance at 55 Dundas St. W.) It is on the PATH in the heart of downtown Toronto, steps away from the Yonge and Dundas TTC station and walking distance from Union Station.
The school can be reached by the GO Train, making campus accessible to those who live inside and outside of the Greater Toronto Area. For those that drive, non-permit parking is available near the Campus Store and Pitman Hall, and student permit parking is available underground at the ILLC and surface parking available at the Jarvis Street lot. Pay parking is also available in the lots near campus, or students can take advantage of street parking.
To help ensure personal safety, the school offers the Walk Safe Program, which provides the Ryerson University community a protected escort 24 hours a day to any location on the Ryerson campus, to Dundas subway or to parking lots located off-campus.
Facilities
The Ted Rogers School of Management is housed in a 210,000 square-foot building with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook a courtyard with an urban garden in the interior of the building. Features include: 500-seat auditorium, 135 and 200-seat classrooms, research labs and advanced technological computer labs, 50 and 100-seat workrooms, Wi-Fi throughout the building, 11 total breakout rooms (nine available to all and two exclusive to the MBA degree), study spaces, and more.
One of only a few buildings in Toronto using the Enwave water cooling system, the TRSM building is a very environmentally friendly building. There are several other sustainable and energy-efficient programs that benefit students and the environment.

There are more than 250 faculty members at TRSM. TRSM’s faculty members help make Ryerson one of Canada’s most industry-relevant MBA programs. Ninety percent of the Ryerson MBA faculty have over 10 years of industry experience.
TRSM faculty continue to generate ideas and solutions through their research, which is highlighted in peer-reviewed journals, industry publications, and popular press. Scholarly activity at TRSM is funded by both the public and private sectors, which has resulted in a culture of academic excellence right in the heart of downtown Toronto.
