University of North Texas Accelerated Online MBA Program Structure
Students in the University of North Texas Accelerated Online MBA program can choose a concentration in Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Strategic Management, or Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Analytics, Supply Chain Management, and can complete their MBA in as little as 14 months. The program features eight-week courses that have five available start dates. Students complete 12 courses for the program (six-core, three required, two supporting, and one elective). Some students may be required to complete up to 18 additional credits of background courses. Students will complete 24 hours worth of core credits and their elective as well as required and supporting courses that vary by concentration. Students also take a variety of electives based on specific concentrations and background courses. The necessity of background courses is assessed with a review of undergraduate transcripts. Students have the option to complete one or two classes during one eight-week session to fit their work-life-school balance.

MBA core courses are designed to provide students with a solid business management knowledge base. Core courses cover topics including accounting, finance management, marketing management, the business decision process, organizational behavior analysis and administrative strategy. The three required courses focus on the concentration of the student’s choosing. The one elective course for the program must be selected from outside of the student’s concentration.

Class Profile
Fifty-five percent of students enrolled in graduate programs at the College of Business at UNT are male with 45 percent female students. Students in the University of North Texas Accelerated Online MBA in Strategic Management program come from a variety of undergraduate and professional backgrounds. The average GMAT and GPA of recent students were 530 and 3.53 respectively.
Careers
Students that complete the University of North Texas Accelerated Online MBA program will gain the skills and capabilities to move into leading managerial positions. Students that are completing the program to prepare for a career in the business world will have a foundation for new career opportunities and markets.
Students can pursue jobs such as Business Development Director, Consultant, Licensing Director, R&D Manager, Technology Entrepreneur, International Commodity Trader, Market Analyst or Risk Manager, Public Policy Advisor, Marketing Manager, Chief Executive Office and many other options.
Students have the opportunity to participate in the Professional Leadership Program at UNT. The program works to prepare students for business leadership through networking events, skill building workshops and job fairs.
UNT also offers the Career Center at the Business Leadership Building. Students receive one-on-one advising, career planning, workshops, job search, career fairs and career exploration from graduate advisors. The career services advisors also help students with résumé and cover letter writing as well as mock interviews.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
The cost of the University of North Texas Accelerated Online MBA is $908 per three credit hours. Students complete 36 credit hours for the program for an estimated total cost of $19,464. This estimated cost does not include the cost of materials or technology needed for the program or other university costs.
UNT offers students a variety of options to help finance their education. Seventy-five percent of UNT students receive some kind of financial aid to help with the cost of their education. UNT accepts federal and state grants, scholarships, federal financial aid and private loans to help cover the cost of tuition. Professional and graduate students are no longer eligible to receive federal subsidized loans.

Admissions Procedures at the North Texas Accelerated Online MBA
Before applying to the University of North Texas Accelerated Online MBA in Strategic Management, prospective students must first apply and be accepted to the UNT Toulouse Graduate School. Applicants can submit their application at applytexas.org.
Applicants should choose “Business Administration, MBA Program at UNT Campus” as well as their desired concentration on the degree plan list, as well as make sure that they have indicated they are interested in the accelerated option.
Applicants must also pay the $75 application fee, send official copies of transcripts from all degree granting institutions and provide GMAT scores to the Toulouse Graduate School. GMAT scores are required and are a major component in the admission decision. In addition to the GMAT, applicants are also required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on their undergraduate degree.
After acceptance into the Toulouse Graduate School at the University of North Texas, students can then apply to the College of Business. To complete the application process for the College of Business, students must submit a 600 to 700-word essay that outlines unique events, life experiences and qualifications that distinguish them as an MBA candidate and will add to the value of the class.
Students must also submit a copy of their professional resume with work and academic experiences outlined as well as three letters of recommendation.
The spring deadline for the Toulouse Graduate School is October 15. The summer deadline is April 15 and the fall deadline is June 15. After being admitted to the Toulouse Graduate School, students can apply to the College of Business on a rolling basis. The Accelerated Online MBA program has five different start dates for classes so students may enroll in the classes that begin as soon as admission to the College of Business is granted.
